I play rugby because its not just a sport. Its a family, you make life long friends, it teaches you trust and team work, having each other back on and off the field.
I play for sfu as an old player approached me in the gym and asked if I played, I was new to the country and didnt no anyone and I told him I did and I was looking for a club. He told me to come out to practise and check them out. Went to my first pracitse amd never left, 9yr later. Sfu rugby is not just a club, its a community, they gave me a core here, friendships, family you never knew you had. Its a club that isn't just a train and play. It also a social team that looks out for its players on and off the field. They need help outside of rugby, the boys and girls are there to lend a hand.

I joined SFU rugby after playing for SFU Football at a time in my life where I was really feeling the absence of a good team sport that gives me something to do and look forward to every week. It offered me a place to come chat, laugh, and be athletic again with a good group of guys. SFU Rugby has become like second home for me and I’m so happy to have been able to join!
